What is Wisdom Tooth Removal?

"Wisdom Teeth or Wisdom Tooth" may seem like a misnomer, people often have to have them removed. Wisdom tooth usually arrive in the late teen years, hence it has derived this optimistic name.

The main problem associated with wisdom tooth is that they grow into a jaw that's too small for them. They grow in sideways, ultimately pushing against teeth that are already in place. The place where wisdom tooth grow can easily build up bacteria, plaque and food debris around them as that spot become difficult to clean.

How are wisdom teeth removed?

Speak with your dentist or oral surgeon about preparations. In common, it's important to dress comfortably for the operation, and stay away from eating or drinking anything for at least 6 hours prior to surgery.

Your surgeon will use as little force as possible to remove the tooth, cautiously pushing the gum out of the way and then cutting the tooth into miniature sections for removal. You will receive some type of sedation, you shouldn't feel any discomfort during the surgery. After the teeth are removed, the surgeon will suture your gums back into place.
